Early morning structure fire closes Beltrees Drive in Lexington County, coroner ID’s person who died
LEXINGTON CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Lexington County authorities say an early morning structure fire closed Beltrees Drive in the Willowbrook neighborhood.
There has been one confirmed fatality at a home in the 100 block of Gillfield Court.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person as 66-year-old Donna Jones Hunter.
Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene, and her autopsy is scheduled for October 15.
Another person in the house was taken to Augusta Burn Center for treatment.
Additionally, two firefighters were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Lexington County Fire Marshall’s office.
