USC names Department of Sport and Entertainment Management after Carolina Panthers owner, wife

 

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The University of South Carolina Department of Sport and Entertainment Management is now named after the owner of the Carolina Panthers and his wife.

Tuesday, October 14, the university announced in the morning the department will now be known as the David and Nicole Tepper Department of Sport and Entertainment Management.

University officials say the couple has contributed 6 and a half million dollars to USC scholarships since 2020 including a $5 million gift to the department that now bears their name.

Close to three thousand students are part of the Department of Sport and Entertainment Management.
