Local Living: Power in Pink, Walk Against Domestic Violence, Blythewood Fall Championship Rodeo, SC State Fair

LOCAL LIVING: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the Richland County Recreation Foundation is hosting their 5th annual Power in Pink event.

There will be line dancing, food, raffles and more.

It takes place Friday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Garners Ferry Adult Activity Center.

Admission is free but t-shirts will be on sale for $10, and all proceeds will be donated to the Prisma Health Breast Health Center.

 

You can register for the mayor’s 19 annual Walk Against Domestic Violence.

It starts Saturday, October 25, at 9 a.m. at Page Ellington Park on Gregg Street.

Registration is $5, and all money collected will be donated to Sistercare.

 

The 5th annual Blythewood Fall Championship Rodeo rides back into town next weekend.

Next Friday and Saturday gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Prisma Health Arena on Wilson Boulevard.

It’s $20 dollars for adults, and $12 dollars for kids ages 6 to 12.

It’s free for kids 5 and under.

 

You still have time to visit the South Carolina State Fair.

It’s open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 16, through Friday, October 17, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 19.
