18-year-old woman’s body found in Kershaw County
ELGIN, S.C. (AP) — Kershaw County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of an 18-year-old woman whose body was found on a dirt road near Elgin.
Sheriff Jim Matthews said Briana Rabon’s death was “obviously a homicide”.
Some children found the body on a dirt road near power lines Wednesday afternoon. Authorities have not released how Rabon died or when she may have been killed.
The sheriff says Rabon was last seen with a man Tuesday night. Matthews said investigators are trying to find the man.
The woman’s car was found at a restaurant on Interstate 20 after her mother reported her missing.
An autopsy was planned Thursday to determine the cause of death.
