CRFD firefighters respond to garage fire at subdivision

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland firefighters have responded to an early morning fire that damaged a garage at a Richland County subdivision, said CRFD.

Fire crews were called to a Brentsmill Circle home in the Coatbridge subdivision shortly before 9 a.m.

The crews arrived to the home to find the garage fulled involved in flames, and began to work to contain the fire.

Four people were left displaced, and unharmed.

Firefighters said, other areas of the home suffered smoke damage.

Columbia-Richland Fire Department said it was determined that an unattended candle caused the fire.
