Newberry County coroner identifies vehicle vs. moped victim

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry County Coroner Laura G. Kneece has identified the victim of a vehicle versus moped collision, said the coroner’s office.

The incident happened on October 26, in the area of U.S. Highway 76 at Colony Church Road in the Prosperity area of Newberry County.

Coroner Kneece identified the victim as 58-year-old Beatrice Wilson Gallman of Newberry.

An autopsy has been requested for both decedents and will be performed later this week, according to the coroner’s office.

This incident remains under investigation by the Newberry County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
