LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County deputies arrested a man accused of two crimes connected to a homicide in 2023, says the sheriff’s dept.

Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr., 23, is charged with accessory before the fact of murder and criminal conspiracy.

Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon says detectives have continued to interview people associated with the investigation into the shooting death of Tony Etheredge Jr.

As a result of the continued investigation, detectives were able to determine that Garway assisted Allon Adams and Cady Keener before they allegedly fatally shot Etheredge.

Adams and Keener shot Etheredge while trying to rob him on Parrish Road in December 2023, according to Sheriff Koon.

They were arrested in 2024 and are awaiting a trial.

“Adams and Keener eventually discarded Etheredge’s body in Black Creek, where investigators recovered it in February 2024,” Koon says.

Garway is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
