RCSD: Two charged with attempted murder after stabbing at detention center

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a second stabbing that occurred this week at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, say deputies.

On November 5, at around 9:50 a.m., deputies were made aware of an altercation between two suspects and one victim.

One of the suspects and the victim are known to each other outside of the jail, says RCSD.

The victim was attacked after returning from the outdoor recreational area and stabbed in the upper body with a sharp metal object.

Also, the victim was treated for the injury at the jail and placed back into the unit.

RCSD deputies say the two suspects will be charged with attempted murder.
