RCSD investigating homicide at Nearview Avenue Tuesday

RICHLAND CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County deputies are investigating a homicide Tuesday night.

According to investigators, around 7 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting at the 1700 block of Nearview Avenue, where they found a man in front of a residence with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

He was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.

Deputies say the suspect(s) fled prior to their arrival. At this time, investigators believe the murder is an isolated incident.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity yet as the investigation continues.
