Richland County coroner identifies person dead after fatal shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual who died after a fatal shooting.

The shooting happened on Tuesday, November 11, Nearview Drive.

Coroner Rutherford identified the victim as 18-year-old Dion Briggs, of Columbia.

Richland County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the shooting.
