Deputies: School cafeteria worker had loaded gun on campus
Lexington, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County deputies say a school cafeteria worker was arrested for having a loaded gun at Sandhills Middle School.
Investigators say Andrea Brooks is charged with carrying a weapon on school property.
Deputies say the school resource officer was notified after another employee found the gun in a bathroom.
According to investigators, Brooks admitted to leaving the gun in the employee restroom after realizing he still had it on him.
Brooks is being held at the lexington detention center.
