Orangeburg Co. coroner identifies teen dead after collision

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle is releasing the name of the person who was fatally wounded in an automobile accident that occurred on Wednesday, says OCCO.

The coroner’s office says, the automobile accident occurred on Wednesday, November 19, on Riley Road in Cordova.

The person was identified as 17-year-old Edisto High School student Jaida Gooden, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Coroner Fogle says Gooden died of multiple blunt force injuries due to the motor vehicle collision.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
