Is ICE in the Midlands?

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– You may have seen posts on social media claiming that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were conducting operations in Richland County.

So far, that remains unclear.

A spokesperson for ICE tells ABC Columbia, “ICE conducts targeted enforcement actions across South Carolina daily.

ABC Columbia asked for further details and context but none were given.

The reports come after a mass immigration enforcement operation in Charlotte that resulted in more than 200 arrests.
