Sumter Police working to identify person seen after shots fired near public park

 

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter Police are working to identify a person they say was seen after someone fired shots near a public park, say officers.

Officers provided ABC Columbia with images from the area around the time of the shooting Monday afternoon, Dec. 1.

It happened near South Purdy Street and South Guignard Drive.

Investigators say the person may have information about a man seen firing shots from near a public park toward people standing in front of an apartment complex.

No one was injured.
