Fairfield County deputies asking for public help locating 62-year-old

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a 62-year-old who was reported missing by a family member.
A family member reported to deputies that Timothy Lee Gillie has been missing since Monday, December 1, around 2 p.m.
His last known communication was a text message around 12:45 p.m., in which he stated he was at an appointment at the Dorn Veterans Affairs Hospital in Columbia, say deputies.
Gillie was last seen wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
He is described as Black male, weighing around 325 pounds, with a limp, and a tattoo of his daughter on his arm.
Investigators say Gillie was dropped off at the Flying J on North Main Street in Columbia where he stated he planned to take the city bus to O’Neil Court to update his address at the DMV, and then travel to the Dorn VA Hospital.
Additionally, investigators say they have contacted the Dorn VA which stated Gillie did not have an appointment on December 1, but he did miss scheduled appointments on December 3 and December 4.
