Local Living: Fireflies Holiday Lights, Wild Lights, Santa Paws Is Coming To Town, Winter Sparkfest Shines Bright

 

 

 

LOCAL LIVING: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living,  Segra Park is back in the Christmas spirit this holiday season.

The Fireflies Holiday Lights are open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night through January 3rd.

You and the family can ride the fireflies express to see over a million lights, enjoy some food, visits from Santa and more.

 

Riverbanks zoo is lighting up the holiday season with a special event.

Wild Lights is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 10) through Jan. 11.

You can enjoy 60 larger-than-life handcrafted wildlife lantern displays, photos with Santa, and much more.

 

If you’re looking to adopt a furry four legged friend this Christmas, Columbia Animal Services is the place for you.

They are holding their Santa Paws Is Coming To Town event through the whole month of December where adoptions fees for all pets are just $25.

 

Don’t forget about the Winter Sparkfest Shines Bright charity event hosted by 14-year-old CEO Jaiden Bostic.

The fundraiser will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, and Dec. 20 at 739 Old Clemson Road.

For $5 you can enjoy some live music, food vendors, and appearances from community leaders and youth organization.

All the money raised will go to  local charities with a goal of raising $5,000.
