Midlands high school band receives special recognition

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands high school band received a special recognition Wednesday afternoon.

WJ Keenan High School held a celebration in honor of the Marching Keenan Raider Rubber Band on Wednesday, Dec. 17.

The band recently won the South Carolina Band Directors Associations traditional High Step State Championship.

In addition to the state championship, Keenan’s band also won first place in several band competitions this year.
