Man sentenced after water gun fight turns violent

Siller was arrested on Tuesday, July 2, and charged with four counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A man has been sentenced after a water gun fight turned violent at a Richland County elementary school last year.
The 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office says 23-year-old Kiante Siller was sentenced to 7 years after he pled guilty to two counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
According to investigators, in June of 2024 Siller shot the victim after a dispute following a water gun fight on Bombing Range Road behind Bridge Creek Elementary School.
Two juveniles were also charged for assault and battery.
Siller is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
