Clarendon County mourns loss of longtime councilman

CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)–  A longtime Clarendon County council member who served his community for 30 years has died.

Officials with Clarendon County Administration announced the passing of Councilman and Reverend William James Frierson Sr.

In a post on Facebook, the administration describes him as a devoted public servant, respected minister, and trusted community leader.

Frierson was 72 years old.
