Columbia-Richland firefighters put out 2 fires in same subdivision

 

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland firefighters say they responded to a fire involving multiple homes in the Summit subdivision on Thursday, Jan. 1.

It happened off Hidden Pines Road shortly after 11 p.m. where firefighters say one home was fully involved and the flames were quickly spreading to a neighboring home.

Everyone in both homes made it out safely, but 16 people were displaced.

Firefighters also battled a fire that damaged several homes on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, in the same area.

No injuries were reported after the Glen Knoll Drive fire but 7 people were displaced.

Both fires are under investigation.
