COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Sports legends from across South Carolina gathered to give back Sunday night and follow the lead of 1980 Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers.

The Gamecocks great hosted his annual gala and auction to raise funds for first generation college students, helping pave a path for them to fulfill their dreams through higher education. Rogers and his family have raised $115,000 in scholarships the last four years alone for students seeking opportunity.
