Macy’s closing 14 stores nationwide
(CNN)– Macy’s plans to close 14 of its stores in 12 states across the country.
The company says the closures are part of Macy’s strategy to shrink its U.S. footprint.
The department store chain says its goal is to better serve customers and support long term growth.
The closures will allow Macy’s to invest more in stores that are doing well, and expand its digital presence.
Nearly two years ago, the company announced plans to close 150 under-performing stores by the end of this year.
