SCDOT to close Sawmill Road bridge in Kershaw County for repairs

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SCDOT will close and detour the Sawmill Road bridge over Little Flat Rock Creek in Kershaw County.

Repairs will begin on January 20, 2026, and the bridge is expected to reopen on January 22.

A detour route has been set up for the closure.

Sawmill Road will be open to local traffic only, except at the bridge site, says SCDOT.

SC Dept. of Transportation asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
