USC Football Player Arrested Sunday

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — South Carolina redshirt freshman offensive lineman Na’Ty Rodgers was charged early Sunday morning with disorderly conduct and consumption of alcohol by a person under the age of 21, according to the Columbia Police Department. According to the Columbia Police Department, Rodgers was allegedly acting in a loud and boisterous manner when officers responded to a civil disturbance call at 800 Harden Street at 12:30 a.m. on March 23, 2014. Officers said they detected a strong odor of alcohol when speaking with Rodgers. The Columbia Police Department said Rodgers was cooperative. Rodgers was competing at right guard for the starting position this spring. The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder from Waldorf, Md., was a four-star prospect when he signed with the Gamecocks last year. Per USC policy, he is suspended indefinitely from the team.
