Newberry deputies: Mt. Bethel Garmany Rd. back open following armed suicidal person incident

NEWBERRY CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Newberry County deputies say they resolved a situation with an armed and suicidal person this morning.

Deputies say Mt. Bethel Garmany Road between Nancy Road and Petus Lane is back open after negotiations with the suspect.

According to investigators, the suicidal suspect is on way to the hospital for evaluation. No injuries have been reported.
