CAE prepares for possible weekend Winter weather

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– As the chances of possible Winter weather is forecasted for the Midlands, the airport is getting ready.

Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) went to work on the runway with heavy equipment to do dry runs to prep the airport in case of extreme weather over the weekend.

Officials say even with the possible expected weather, the airport will operate as usual.

But airport officials will continue to monitor the weather, and post updates.
