State authorizes early prescription refills ahead of winter storm
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Anyone with a prescription needing a refill in the next few days can do so a little early.
Saturday officials with the South Carolina Department of Public Health announced that due to the potential for extended power outages as a result of the coming winter storm they have authorized a one-time early refill of Schedule III-V prescriptions through January 30th.
“We are taking this action due to the potential for interruptions of services and to reduce possible danger to individuals traveling following the storm,” said Dr. Edward Simmer, interim director of DPH.
