SCEMD activates winter weather hotline

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Emergency Management Division has activated its winter weather hotline.

Officials with SCEMD say anyone with questions about the winter weather response can call 1-866-246-0133.

Operators with the state’s public information phone system will be able to answer questions on topics like sheltering information, road conditions, and recommended safety precautions.

Officials say the line will be open 24 hours a day for as long as needed.
