School districts to return to operations after weekend weather

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– After the weekend weather in the Midlands, schools are returning to session, and making announces for the in-person learning.

 

School District Five of Lexington & Richland Counties

District officials say School District Five of Lexington & Richland Counties will return to normal operations on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Also, all of Monday’s e-Learning assignments will be due on Monday, February 2, 2026.

The National Weather Service is forecasting sub-freezing temperatures Tuesday morning.

Lexington County School District Three

Lexington County School District Three will resume regular schedules at all of its schools and facilities on Tuesday, January 27.

All after-school activities and athletic events will also resume on Tuesday.

Lexington County School District One

Lexington County School District One will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

All schools and offices will open at their normal times, with after-school activities and events resuming as well.

Lexington School District Two

Lexington School District Two will operate on a normal school day schedule on Tuesday, January 27.

Students and staff should report for the start of the school day at their regular times.

Lexington School District Four

Lexington 4 will resume normal operations on  Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026.

Fairfield County School District

Fairfield County School District will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Students should report two hours later than their usual arrival time.

Bus riders will be picked up two hours later than normal.
