Lexington County Coroner identifies two victims in two-vehicle collision

 

 

 

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has identified two victims in a two-vehicle collision on I-20 west Saturday, Jan. 24.

The coroner identified the victims as 90-year-old Murray Paxton and 22-year-old Emery Woody.

According to investigators, Paxton was traveling east in the westbound lanes on I-20 near mile marker 63 when he collided head-on with Woody’s vehicle.

Paxton who was wearing a seatbelt, and Woody who wasn’t wearing one both died at the scene.

SC Highway Patrol and the coroner’s office are investigating.
