Goodwill thrives in uncertain economy

(CNN)– Goodwill is doing quite well.

The largest thrift store chain in the world says it exceeded seven-billion dollars in revenue last year.

That’s not only a record-setting high, it’s also a 7% hike from 2024.

Analysts say the uncertain economy, slow job growth and a rise in costs have more people shopping at Goodwill stores in order to save money.

Goodwill gathers roughly 6-billion pounds worth of goods on an annual basis.

Items that end up not getting sold in their stores are sent to outlets where they are sold at major discounts.
