2 left displaced after Monday morning Richland County fire

 

 

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Two people were left displaced after a Monday morning house fire, say fire officials.

According to CRFD, a fire that happened shortly before 10:15 a.m on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at a Legion Drive home caused heavy damages to the house.

Columbia-Richland Fire Department 1st shift crews responded to the fire.

Upon firefighters arrival to the house, they found heavy fire coming from the garage area and thick smoke.

The fire caused a storage area above the garage to collapse.

All occupants of the home escaped safely and there were no injuries reported.

The Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating the cause of the fire.
