RCSD: Person arrested after wrong-way driving on road

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– RCSD Sheriff Leon Lott says a person has been arrested after driving the wrong way on Saturday night.

The sheriff’s dept. says just before midnight on Saturday, February 7, deputies responded to the area of 7800 Farrow Road in reference to a wrong-way driver.

Deputies located the driver who was later identified as Naji Capri Hughes on Pisgah Church Road and initiated a traffic stop.

After conducting field sobriety testing with Hughes, deputies placed Hughes under arrest for driving under the influence (1st offense) and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
