1 arrested after Sumter Co. deputies find illegal drugs
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter Co. deputies say a search warrant led to the arrest of one person on Friday.
Sumter County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant on the home of Melissa Gayle Horton, and found illegal narcotics, according to the sheriff’s office.
As a result of the search Melissa Gayle Horton was arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl and possession of methamphetamine.
Horton was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and given a $40,000 bond.
Due to unresolved hold reasons, bonding out is not allowed, according to the SCSO.
