WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– West Columbia Police Department is asking people to avoid the 1400 block of Platt Springs Road area as police work an incident, says the dept.

The police department says officers are currently on the scene of a barricaded subject incident, and are actively working to resolve the situation.

As the area is secured, residents and motorists are asked to avoid the area and follow any directions given by law enforcement officers at the scene.
