Richland County Recreation Commission hosts Community Input Meetings for Ten-Year Master Plan

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Recreation Commission wants your voice to shape the future of the County for the next 10 years.

Curtis spoke with Mr. Taurus Lewis, Executive Director of the Richland Co. Recreation Commission, about the upcoming Community Input Meetings below:

  • Wednesday, February 18, 2026 – North Springs Park, 1320 Clemson Rd., Columbia | 6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 3, 2026 – Meadowlake Park, 600 Beckman Rd., Columbia | 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 4, 2026 – Friarsgate Park, 1712 Chadford Rd., Irmo | 6:00 p.m.

He says the meetings allow the public to share ideas, experiences and feedback as the County develops its 10 year Master Plan.

It’s a strategic roadmap that will guide decisions related to parks, facilities, programs, services, and investments over the next decade.

There are also several events the Richland County Recreation Commission is hosting for the month of February.
