RCSD searching for suspect after woman assaulted Wednesday afternoon

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies are looking for a suspect after they say a woman was assaulted with a weapon Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators say around 5 p.m. Feb. 18, they responded to Spindrift Lane where a woman was found bleeding from the head.

Deputies say she was taken to the hospital.

Investigators say they learned the woman and a suspect were in an argument which lead to the assault.

Deputies say it is unclear what type of weapon may have been used in the attack.
