CT police officer beaten to death trying to stop fight

South Windsor, CT (WOLO) —A  Connecticut Police Department and Community are in mourning after one of their officers was killed in Murrells Inlet.

According to investigators Sergeant Matthew Mainieri was trying to break up a fight when he died.
