South Carolina Department of Public Health measles update

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Dept. of Public Health reports that there are no new cases of measles in the state, according to health officials.

Officials say there are no new cases of measles in the state since March 17, which keeps the total number of cases in South Carolina related to the Upstate outbreak at 997.

There is currently one person in quarantine and none in isolation.

A period of 42 days with no new cases is required to declare an end to a measles outbreak, say health officials.
