Amtrak train involved in collision in Williamsburg County
(CNN)–A Amtrak train with more than 100 passengers and crew onboard was involved in a collision in Williamsburg County.
Authorities say the train slammed into a garbage truck at a private crossing on Monday, April 1, 2026.
The crossing has no cross-arms or warning signals, say officials.
The truck driver was able to get out in time and only suffered minor injuries.
No passengers or crew on the train were hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
