Inbound lanes re-open after collision sends multiple people to hospital

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington Police said a collision on West Main Street/US-1 at Gibson Road had all inbound lanes closed around 12 p.m.

While the inbound lanes were closed drivers were asked to seek an alternate route around the scene until the roadway re-opened.

Around 12:40 p.m. all of the lanes reopened after the collision that caused several people to be sent to the hospital with injuries.

Police said, the wreck was caused by a driver who failed to yield the right of way.
