People across the state celebrate Advocacy Day at State House

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Tuesday morning (April 14) people from across the state came to Columbia to celebrate Advocacy Day at the State House.

Hosted by “The Access and Independence Network” the event champions better healthcare, housing, employment, and transportation for people with disabilities.

Throughout the day, speakers and vendors from over 50 organizations provide guests with needed resources and information.

According to the CDC, more than 1.1 million adults in South Carolina are living with a disability.
