Moped rider killed after Lee County collision
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a person riding a moped has died after a collision with another vehicle in Lee County.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Sgt. Bob Beres says the crash happened just before 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The moped and a Jeep Cherokee were going in opposite directions on Woodham Road. Beres says the person driving the Jeep, 19-year-old Justin Haluck, was not injured in the crash.
The identity of the moped rider has not been released. Authorities are still investigating.
