Haley’s campaign says she has $4M available
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Gov. Nikki Haley’s campaign says she has more than $4 million cash available after her first-quarter fundraising.
Campaign spokesman Rob Godfrey says the Republican governor will report raising more than $860,000 from January through March toward her bid for re-election.
Campaign disclosures for all candidates in South Carolina are due Thursday. Haley’s campaign has not yet filed online. Neither has her Democratic opponent, state Sen. Vincent Sheheen. He had about $1.4 million as of his January disclosure.
Haley’s primary opponent Tom Ervin has more than $271,000 available, after loaning himself more than $420,000. The former judge and state House member announced his candidacy last week.
