Newberry County deputies searching for burglary suspect

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry County deputies are searching for a person who left a scene while the sheriff’s attempted to serve a warrant, say authorities.

Newberry County Sheriff’s Office says there was a heavy law enforcement presence in between Shelly Street and Pope Street as they search for the person.

Deputies say they are looking for Jeffrey Lamont Griffin, who was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Griffin is not believed to be armed, but he is wanted for burglary 2nd degree.
