Deadly Garners Ferry Road shooting suspect arrested

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – Columbia Police arrested suspect Monday (10/8) after a deadly weekend shooting.

Kweli Goree is charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Desmond Bates at Lakeshore Apartments on Garners Ferry Road on Saturday night.

Police say the shooting was the result of an attempted armed robbery.

Additional arrests are possible.
