COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Frank Martin says for the first time in his two seasons in charge of Carolina basketball he’s getting a different vibe from Gamecock fans about his program. Martin is coming off a 14-20 campaign but his team won four of its last six games including an upset against NCAA tournament runner-up Kentucky. Martin says that late season success from his young team has support for his program at an all-time high. At a season wrap-up press conference Monday afternoon, Martin said none of his players have asked or been asked to transfer from USC. Last year at this time four Gamecocks recruited by Martin’s predecessor Darrin Horn transferred out. Martin has a 28-38 record in two seasons at USC. He was suspended one game at the end of the 2013-14 season for a profane tirade caught on camera during a March 4th 72-46 home loss to #1-ranked Florida. Click to watch Martin’s comments about the possibility of him changing the way he relates to his players.
