Orangeburg man arrested on child sexual abuse material charges
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Attorney General Alan Wilson says a 37-year-old Orangeburg man has been arrested in relation to 5 charges.
David Austin Robert Gillespie, of Orangeburg, was arrested on five charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Attorney General’s Office made the arrest.
Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Gillespie, say officials.
Investigators state Gillespie distributed files of child sexual abuse material.
He was arrested on May 14, 2026, and charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
