Bamberg man’s good deed leads to $75K lottery win
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Bamberg man’s good deed led to a $75,000 lottery win, said SC Lottery officials.
The winner said he was driving a relative to a doctor’s appointment when he stopped at the EnMarket store on the Main Highway in Bamberg and spent $3 on a lottery ticket.
“I had never bought a ticket at that store before,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
But the Cash Lines ticket he picked out won him the game’s first top prize of $75,000.
The man also told officials it was pure luck, and he is still trying to process the win.
There are three more top prizes that remain in the game, and the odds of winning $75,000 playing Cash Lines are 1 in 528,000.
Nouria 2187 Main Highway (EnMarket) in Bamberg received a commission of $750 for selling the claimed ticket.
