Sewer Main Break Near Lake Murray

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) — Town officials are working to repair a sewer main break on Highway 378 West at the Horse Creek Bridge. An independent contractor conducting soil bore tests in the area struck the line causing the break. A undetermined amount of sewer entered into Lake Murray. A cleanup is underway. Samples will be taken in the affected area. South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control was notified of the incident.
